The marching units pictured here are three of the four bands that have standing invitations to appear in the Tournment of Roses Parade: Salvation Army Tournament of Roses Band, Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band, Los Angeles Unified School District All District High School Honor Band. The fourth is the United States Marine Corps West Coast Composite Band, which was featured here.
An interesting note on the Salvation Army band: They were joined by Yorkshire Divisional Youth Band from Leeds, Yorkshire, UK. Yorkshire is known as the home of brass bands. Though every Salvation Army band shares the same music book, the sound is different.
