Rose Bowl Game tickets for Pasadena residents on sale Dec. 2

Every year, the Tournament of Roses sets aside a number of Rose Bowl Game tickets for Pasadena residents. Tickets to the 104th Rose Bowl Game will be sold at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium box office, 300 E. Green St., on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017. Line up begins no earlier than 7 a.m. and the box office opens at 10 a.m. The game will be held on Jan. 1, 2018.

To purchase tickets, residents must be age 18 or older and bring proof of Pasadena residency with a valid California driver’s license or identification card with a Pasadena address. Tickets are $200, including the $15 box office fee. Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets. Tickets may also be purchased through Ticketmaster; information is here.

Officially, the 2018 game is dubbed “the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual,” which seems rather long, so The Rose Examiner will stick with the shorter and better known moniker. Rose Bowl Hall of Fame 2017: Mack Brown, Cade McNown, Charles Woodson, Dr. Charles West

From Tournament of Roses reports –Mack Brown (coach, University of Texas), Cade McNown (UCLA), Charles Woodson (Michigan), and Dr. Charles West (Washington & Jefferson) will be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame as the Class of 2017. The Rose Bowl Hall of Fame was established in 1989 to pay tribute to members of the Rose Bowl Game who have contributed to the history and excitement of the game, and those who embody the highest level of passion, strength, tradition and honor associated with The Granddaddy of Them All.

“These four individuals epitomize what the Tournament of Roses and Rose Bowl Game stand for,” said Tournament of Roses Football Committee Chair Brad Ratliff. “This class has exhibited strength, passion, tradition and honor in relation to college football, but also in making a difference in their communities.”

The induction ceremony will take place at noon PT on Dec. 30, 2017, outside of the Rose Bowl Stadium. The Rose Bowl Game will be played as the 2018 College Football Playoff Semifinal on Jan. 1, 2018. 104th Rose Bowl Game tickets go on sale Sept. 1

It’s not easy to get tickets to the Granddaddy of Them All—most are set aside for the rival teams and dignitaries—but there are some available to the general public. Seats to the 104th Rose Bowl Game go on sale on Friday, Sept 1 at 9 a.m. PT online or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. A maximum of four tickets per person will be available during the Rose Bowl Game ticket pre-sale. Individual ticket prices start at $185 plus Ticketmaster handling fees.

The 2018 game on Jan. 1 hosts a College Football Playoff Semifinal, featuring two of the top-four teams in the country. The four teams that will play in the College Football Playoff Semifinal will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 3 via a national broadcast on ESPN. The Rose Bowl Game will host either the semifinal between the No. 1 and No. 4 teams in the nation or the No. 2 and No. 3 teams.
